**JOB DESCRIPTION**

POSITION OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
- Manage and maintain database systems, including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure system reliability.
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Oracle EBS and OCI environments.
- Implement and oversee database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, project calls, and all-hands meetings to ensure effective communication and project progression.
- Lead Oracle projects and validate new versions of Oracle and operating systems to ensure optimal system performance.
- Provide support for critical production systems as needed.
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
- This position will report to Manager of Oracle Technology & Data

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a minimum of 5 years supporting Oracle databases.
- Experience in configuring and supporting active/active configurations.
- Proficiency in patching Oracle databases.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions and services.
- Knowledge of Oracle Recovery Appliances (backup and recovery).
- Proficiency in SQL and database scripting.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) is a plus.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Familiarity with database security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certification in Oracle Database Administration or OCI is preferred.

REQUIRED
- Experience in Code migration, deployment using TAR files
- Experience in Handling of production incidents, creation of knowledge base
- Ability to follow up with Oracle Support on Product Issues
- Ability to interact at all levels of organization. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in an offshore-onsite global support model context (Application Managed Services)
- Capable of leading process improvement initiatives and using tools like Six sigma to solve problems

PREFERRED
- Experience in Oracle PaaS and SaaS (ERP Cloud) implementations
- Demonstrated experience in working with global teams and supporting global business functions
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in Oracle EBS instance
- Strong understanding of system design and system integrations.
