You will be working as Data scientist and will be part of Electrification business for Distribution Solutions division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for working with stakeholders all through the organization to distinguish opportunities for leveraging organization data to drive business solutions. Identifying value-added use cases and requirements gathering for data driven solutions in cooperation with ABB’s business divisions and end customers.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Investigating and evaluating efficient system architectures, machine-learning algorithms required for offering specific business solution on electrification asset/building/energy/distribution network management
- Performing Data exploration, pre-processing, analysis, and evaluation
- Exploring and visualizing data to gain an understanding of it and then identifying differences in data distribution that could affect performance when deploying the model in the real world
- Developing prototypes and providing support for pilot evaluation and productization of solutions in cloud platform
- Leading and collaborating well with the team, to deliver the product releases on time, with good quality. Should have good communication skills
- Aligning with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and complete project deliverables

**Your background**:

- BE / ME / Ph.D. in Computer Science/ Electrical or/Electronics and Statistics/ Mathematical Science
- 2+ years of experience in Python/ R / Scala and Statistical Analysis, Machine learning (Supervised and Unsupervised learning techniques), neural networks, Deep Learning techniques, Time-series analysis and Signal Processing
- NLP and chatbot systems, Model Optimization techniques such as quantization, knowledge distillation, weight imprinting, Federated learning
- Knowledge in SCADA system (communication with IEC61850), Azure, AWS
- Should analyze and provide estimation based on complexity of the tasks
- Should be able to provide inputs for creating test cases, for customer requirements
