Close & Consolidation - Associate 2

Key Responsibilities
VAT
o Preparation, review and submission of global VAT returns and global Indirect tax statutory filings (approx. 750 per year)
o Manage tax compliance team to ensure appropriate resourcing and timely and accurate delivery.
o Preparation of VAT payments.
o Manage global VAT and Tax Compliance workflow rolling calendar.
o Drive improvements and efficiencies in VAT processes and reporting
o Provide Tax and VAT expertise to junior team members and Accounts Payable
o Ensure VAT and Corporate Tax processes are well documented
Corporate Tax
o Preparation and first level review of ‘Tax Pack’ for the corporate tax returns.
o Tax analysis of tax sensitive accounts.
o Corporate Tax coding of invoices at point of entry.
o Preparation of Corporate Tax installment payments.
o Preparation and review of monthly Corporate Tax accruals.
Skills
o A team player who is confident in communicating with others in other counties and in English on a daily basis.
o Able to work with mínimal supervision
o Good team leadership and management skills
o Excellent written and verbal communications skills
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
o Well-organized and detail-oriented with experience of process improvement
o Ability to manage multiple priorities, use own initiative, and work under pressure to deliver to tight deadlines
o Technically proficient in Tax and VAT
o Technically proficient in Microsoft Excel
o Commercially aware with a good understanding of the business impacts
Qualifications and Experience
o Strong academic background educated to at least degree level with 5-8yrs Experience
o An experienced Manager in an equivalent role and specific tax management experience
o Financial services experience is preferred but not essential
