**Overview of Market & Client Insights Team**

Our mission is to provide research and insights regarding markets, clients, prospects, industries and competitors to drive revenue growth through more effective sales, marketing, and innovation. The Market & Client Insights team in India is further segmented into teams aligned with the various geography and segment business units within Willis Towers Watson.

The team provides a range of services from information access and delivery (utilizing several external research subscriptions and WTW proprietary research and data) to secondary research for more complex requests requiring multiple sources and potentially multiple methodologies.

**The Role**

Research Associate would be responsible for executing a diverse range of tasks to support research and consulting activities of the firm. He/she will be expected to provide data and information support to consultants globally as well as assist in consulting support and other research projects from time to time.

**Main tasks include**:

- Bloomberg specialist who can handle requests related to extracting financial and other information from the database
- Data Collation and information gathering on core projects
- Use other specialized databases to support research and information needs of consultants as well as the internal MCI team. This also entails adequate use of WTW subscriptions
- Ensure timely response and high stakeholder engagement
- Build effective collaborative relationships with colleagues and managers. Coordinate regularly with multiple project teams within MCI
- Handle varied market research requests including company and competitor research, from time to time based on available capacity

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Delivering high quality output through constructive review and feedback
- Train new colleagues that join the team on rotational basis
- Develop complete understanding of existing subscriptions and be proficient in using external research sources, e.g. Bloomberg, Hoovers, Factiva, S&P, AM Best etc.
- Develop and maintain strong, ongoing, productive working relationship with stakeholders for the provision of Market & Client Insights (MCI) support services

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics with at least 4-5 years of relevant work experience that encompasses skills described above is preferable
- Or an MBA with at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Exposure to project management is desirable

**Key requirements**:

- Knowledge of Bloomberg and any other information research tools such as Factiva, D&B Hoovers
- Ability to comprehend and extract essential information from varied data sources
- Fair statistical and excel-based analysis for projects and reports
- Familiar with financial statements of companies and well-versed with interpretation of company financials
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Fluency in English, written and spoken, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with languages like Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, etc. would be an added advantage
- Commitment to long-term development with flexibility to handle multiple tasks and tight timelines
- Ability to think logically and proactively to identify challenges and solve problems independently
- Ability to work within a multi-location team environment
