**Overview of the program**:
Reading aloud to children in the early years is one of the most effective pedagogical strategies to enhance literary skills. Adhyayan Foundation and SAJAG are joining hands to support teachers in 100 primary schools in Kalyan-Dombivli to use this practice to improve foundational literacy. We are building a dynamic team to lead this effort.

**Role: Program Associate | Read-Aloud program**
Location: Kalyan (field office)

The **Program Associate** will be responsible for monitoring the progress of the program in the field and providing support to the teachers.

**Responsibilities**
- Supporting the orientation and training of teachers and resource persons
- Supporting the creation of a teacher peer learning community (PLC) where they can share learnings, challenges and experiences as space for continuous support.
- Gathering data to monitor the progress of the program.
- Periodic visits to check on the progress and regular liaising with schools, teachers, and other stakeholders involved
- Supporting impact evaluation
- Supporting report writing and documentation

**Experience and Qualifications**
- A minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience working in the field of teaching in primary education
- A degree in education is preferred
- Classroom teaching experience, preferably in a government school

**Skills and Competencies**
- Ability to work with people from various backgrounds and of varying age groups
- Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Good time management and planning skills
- Creative problem solving
- Flexible and adaptable
- Fluency in reading and writing in **Marathi**and **English** is a must
- Passionate about education and equity, and willing to learn
- Proficiency in using Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.) and creating presentations, reports, etc.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 per month
