Role: Engineer - Operations and R & D Role Definition Engineer-operations is one who handles complete operations of the company which includes planning, purchasing, production, new product development, dispatches and service Responsibility Deliverable 1) Planning, purchasing, production and dispatch of the material in safe condition 2) Repair of product in house or at customer place in shortest possible time 3) Planning buffer stock and maintaining accurate stock of products & spares 4) Design and development of new products in shortest possible time Tasks & Activities 1) Maintaining buffer stock safely for quick delivery 2) Maintaining accurate stock 3) Organizing packing material 4) Organizing packing of goods 5) Timely dispatch of goods 6) Material planning based on customer orders 7) Releasing purchase order on suppliers 8) Vendor development and management 9) Repair of products, both inhouse and at customer place 10) Helping the company to develop new products 11) Ensuring timely payment to vendors by coordinating with accounts department 12) Monthly stock reconciliation 13) Creates formal documentation including configuration documentation, test documentation, and support documentation. 14) Stay abreast of the latest technology trends 15) carrying out tests on systems and making changes to plans where necessary 16) monitoring the installation of services and managing their maintenance once the installation is completed 17) liaising with electricians, technologists and other professionals 18) giving presentations, writing reports, highlighting the practical implications of the design changes 19) promoting energy efficiency and other sustainability initiatives 20) managing teams of people Measuremen t Metrics - 1) Physical stock vs System Stock Accuracy - 2) Order processing time - 3) On time delivery - 4) On time payment to vendors - 5) Product development Cycle time - 6) Time taken to complete the service work Competencies we are looking for Iceberg Elements Attributes List Skills 1.
