- Develop students to build healthy competitive spirit, co-operation, leadership, punctuality, diligence and team spirit.
- Develop curiosity and interest amongst the children and give them the confidence to share their ideas and relate their own experiences.
- Develop confidence in the children to express their views by analysis and Explanations.
- Encourage students to expand their creativity, thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Promote experiential learning and make learning fun.
- Involve and be active all the time in the various activities planned for the children by the school.
- Identify the diverse learners and use cooperative learning strategies to enhance learning.
- Identify SEN (students with special educational needs) or differently abled students and take appropriate measures in consultation with special educators to help the students.
- Play the role of facilitator, observer and guide.
- Set meaningful tasks which encourages high levels of interest among students.
- Provide clear structures for lessons, maintaining pace, motivation and challenge.
- Ensure development of students keeping in mind safety and hygiene.
- Make effective use of assessment and ensure coverage of programmes of study as per formulated curriculum and ensure effective teaching.
- Maintain appropriate class environment in accordance with the School's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality and behaviour.
- Make use of effective questioning, listen carefully to students, give attention to errors and misconceptions.
- Select appropriate learning resources and develop study skills through library I.C.T.
- (Information and Communication Technology) and other sources.
- Evaluate own teaching critically to improve effectiveness.
- Assess how well learning objectives have been achieved and use them to improve specific aspects of teaching.
- Mark and monitor the work of the students and set targets for progress.
- Assess the progress of the students systematically and maintain records.
- Prepare and present achievement reports to parents.
- Contribute to departmental planning, execution and promotion activities.
- Undertake any additional tasks / responsibilities as directed by the Pre-Primary Coordinator / Vice Principal / Principal.
