**Job description**:
A VMC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines within a manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets are met by managing a team of VMC operators, monitoring quality, and optimizing machine efficiency through proper setup, programming, and troubleshooting technical issues; requiring in-depth knowledge of CNC programming and machining practices. Key responsibilities of a VMC Supervisor:

- **Team Management**:

- Lead and supervise a team of VMC operators, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance.
- Monitor employee productivity and address performance issues.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures within the machine shop.
- **Production Oversight**:

- Plan and schedule VMC operations to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Monitor production processes, identifying and resolving any quality or efficiency issues.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
- **Technical Expertise**:

- Possess in-depth knowledge of CNC programming, including G-code and M-code functionalities to set up and program VMC machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to VMC machine operation and maintenance.
- Perform routine machine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure all produced parts meet quality standards by conducting thorough quality checks and inspections.
- Implement quality control procedures and address any quality concerns promptly.
- **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other departments like engineering, planning, and maintenance to streamline production processes.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding production status, potential issues, and necessary adjustments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- **Technical Skills**: Proven experience operating and programming VMC machines, strong understanding of CNC machining principles.
