**Position**: Student Counsellor
**Location**: Muvattupuzha, Kerala, India

**Job Summary**: The Student Counsellor will play a crucial role in advising and supporting students through the study abroad process. This includes providing guidance on academic programs, cultural adaptation, and personal development to ensure a successful and enriching experience for our students.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one counselling sessions to students to discuss academic, personal, and career goals.
- Assist students in selecting appropriate study abroad programs that align with their academic interests and career aspirations.
- Conduct orientation sessions and workshops for students and their families to address expectations, cultural adjustment, and practical matters related to studying abroad.
- Provide ongoing support to students while they are abroad, including assistance with academic challenges, cultural adjustment, and personal issues.
- Coordinate with host institutions and partner organisations to ensure students receive necessary support and resources.
- Create and update informational materials, such as guides and handbooks, to assist students in their study abroad journey.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and follow up with students and families as needed.
- Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty, and staff to promote study abroad opportunities and support student success.

**Experience**:

- **Counselling Experience**: Previous experience (1-5 years) in student counselling, academic advising.
- **Study Abroad Advising**: Direct experience with study abroad programs.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- **Interpersonal Skills**: Strong ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues. Excellent listening and empathy skills.
- **Communication Skills**: Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
- **Organizational Skills**: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple students and tasks simultaneously.
- **Problem-Solving Abilities**: Strong problem-solving skills to assist students with various academic and personal issues.
- **Technological Proficiency**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with student information systems and online communication tools.

**Experience**:

- student counselling: 1 year experience (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected Start Date: 01/11/2024

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift

Supplemental Pay:

- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus

- Bachelor's (preferred)
