The Product Engineer develops the necessary product specifications needed to run efficiently and effectively in the current products. Responsible to make changes in the products time to time as per the needs or changes during process revalidation at regular intervals. Contributes in solving the intricate customer complaints in collaboration with Quality Assurance, Production and Process Engineering departments.

Key role holder in the organization for product specifications and in solving the problems related to parameters in question. Responsible for taking trials, collects the data and retain the same to reach at the desired results and redo these things at required intervals for those products also which are established in the process during the process revalidation stage. Responsible for helping compound engineers in taking trials at the shop floor and at the same time, suggesting ways to improve in the products as per the current processes.

**THE ROLE**

This role is responsible for executing Member of continuous improvement activities through one-on-one encounters, by ensuring training of production personnel on specific job functions and promoting task forces & production team efforts. Responsible for ensuring that all associates achieve safety, productivity, and on-time performance goals to achieve overall organization's objectives. In addition, this role would have to liaise with Multi-discipline team including support functions, to delight our Internal and External stakeholders.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan, manage, sustains, develops, plans, and implements necessary processes and tools to produce and deliver for R & D Operations testing collaborating globally with Gates team and activities to support efforts to achieve setting up standard processes and help drive the global commercialization team to aligned global processes and outputs. The role shall carry out tactical activities to manage and coach the Indian commercialization team to work with standard processes. In addition, it is to support key tasks, including managing the Design, and release Gates fluid power products aligned with Global vision and aspirations.
- New Product Development.
- New Process Development.
- New Raw Material source evaluation.
- VA/VE activities.
- Technical support to Manufacturing/ QA/ Commercial.

Update relevant technical specifications in database. Responsible for Implementing Designated works from those listed above. That may be a combination of more than one or, of all. He will be attached to a Development manager for Day-to-day work.

FTS responsibilities require a sound understanding of engineering principles, understanding of APQP, hands on with FMEA, Control Plan & Problem-solving tools.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The incumbent operates as an Individual contributor & reports to and support Manager - Production in all day-to-day operations to achieve the objectives of the company.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required._
- Diploma in Rubber Technology or, in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in the Rubber Field or, Hose manufacturing field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 2-4 Years of Experience.
- Experience in a problem-solving activity, especially in troubleshooting of problems and delivering solutions to address root causes.
- Hands on experience in changing the layout of processes for improving the productivity.
- Hands on experience in doing the projects in improving the OEE of specific processes.
- Results oriented, seeks creative solutions to business problems.
