**Job Summary**:
The Sonography Assistant will assist the sonographers and radiologists in performing diagnostic sonographic procedures. This role involves preparing patients for exams, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of the sonography department.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Preparation**:

- Greet and assist patients as they arrive for sonography procedures.
- Explain the sonography procedure to patients and answer any questions they may have.
- Prepare patients for exams by positioning them appropriately and ensuring their comfort.
- Assist in transferring patients onto the examination table if necessary.
- **Assistance During Procedures**:

- Assist the sonographer or radiologist during the sonographic procedure by handing over necessary equipment and supplies.
- Monitor patients during the procedure to ensure their safety and comfort.
- **Equipment and Room Maintenance**:

- Clean and maintain sonography equipment before and after each use.
- Ensure that the examination rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and are kept clean and orderly.
- Assist in the routine maintenance and calibration of sonography equipment.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to the sonographic procedures.
- Assist with the filing, retrieval, and maintenance of sonographic images and reports.
- **Quality and Safety**:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Ensure that all sonographic procedures are conducted in compliance with hospital standards and regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
