**Job Overview**:
The Associate Piping Designer is an entry-level position, and their work is completed with close supervision and support. They work within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adhere to quality guidelines. The Associate Piping Designer should have basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process and appropriate licenses/training certifications.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Gain an understanding of the Contract Scope of Work, specifications, schedule, and inter-discipline requirements
- Extraction of lines from a 3D model
- Tracking isometrics
- 2D drafting of various elements of piping design, including but not limited to:

- checking comments on plot plans,
- piping drawings and
- equipment location drawings
- Updating 3D Model by isometric checking

**Essential Qualifications and Education**:

- Associates Degree Preferred
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- ACAD or MicroStation and some 3D model knowledge
- Some piping designs
- Experience with shop and field support
