Production Supervisor

**Role Overview**:
The Product Supervisor will oversee and manage daily production operations in the aluminium manufacturing unit, ensuring that all products conform to **BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards)** specifications. The role demands hands-on supervision on the shop floor, process optimization, quality assurance, and strict compliance with **BIS and ISO** standards.

This position is crucial for maintaining product consistency, minimizing rejections, and ensuring that every batch aligns with national quality benchmarks.

**Key Responsibilities:1. Production Supervision & Coordination**
- Plan, monitor, and control daily aluminium production activities to meet quality and quantity targets.
- Supervise machine operations, die changes, and production setup in line with approved process parameters.
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to avoid downtime and ensure continuous operation.

**2. BIS Norms & Quality Compliance**
- Ensure all products are manufactured as per **relevant BIS standards** (e.g., IS 737, IS 5082, IS 5523, IS 617, etc.).
- Maintain proper **BIS documentation**, test certificates, and license renewal records.
- Conduct in-process and final inspection checks according to BIS and internal QMS standards.
- Liaise with the Quality and R&D teams for product sampling, testing, and BIS audit readiness.
- Prepare reports and assist during **BIS audits, inspections, and surveillance visits**.

**3. Process Control & Optimization**
- Monitor process parameters (temperature, extrusion pressure, melting point, etc.) for consistent quality output.
- Identify process deviations and initiate **corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)**.
- Collaborate with the production and design teams for product improvement and cost optimization.

**4. Documentation & Reporting**
- Maintain shift-wise production records, process charts, rework logs, and rejection analyses.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports on production, quality deviations, and compliance metrics.

**5. Safety, Training & Team Management**
- Ensure safe operations in melting, extrusion, and finishing sections as per safety norms.
- Train operators and technicians on BIS procedures, quality inspection, and machine handling.
- Promote a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

**Key Skills & Knowledge**:

- Strong knowledge of **BIS standards applicable to aluminium products**.
- Understanding of **ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001** systems.
- Experience in **extrusion, casting, and fabrication processes**.
- Good understanding of **mechanical testing, chemical composition testing, and dimensional inspection**.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and documentation skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Production Engineering.
- BIS Certification awareness or Quality Management Training preferred.

**Performance Indicators (KPIs)**:

- 100% BIS compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Minimum rejection rate and maximum yield per batch.
- On-time production completion vs plan.
- Successful BIS and internal audit outcomes.

Experience minimum 4 years.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
