Java Full Stack Senior Engineer

**Responsibilities**:

- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
- ** Full-Stack Development**: Design, develop, and test software across the full stack (front-end, back-end, and database) using Java and related frameworks.
- Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- ** Champion Shift-Left Testing**: Lead the implementation and adoption of a shift-left testing strategy, moving quality assurance from the end of the development cycle to the beginning.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
- ** Continuous Integration (CI)**: Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure automated tests are a mandatory and seamless part of the CI/CD pipeline, providing fast feedback on code changes.
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
- ** Functional Automated Testing**: Develop and maintain a suite of functional automated tests that are integrated directly into our CI pipeline. This includes leveraging embedded technologies like Kafka and H2 DB to create isolated and reliable testing environments.

**Qualifications**:

- ** Experience**: 10+ years of experience as a software developer with a strong focus on Test driven development and test Engineering.
- ** Java Expertise**: Proven expertise in Java full-stack development, including frameworks like Spring Boot.
- ** TDD and BDD**: Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
- ** Testing Frameworks**: In-depth knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber, and Mockito.
- ** CI/CD**: Experience integrating automated tests into a Continuous Integration pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- ** Embedded Technologies**: Direct experience with embedded Kafka and H2 DB for creating test environments.
- ** Database Experience**: Solid understanding of relational databases and experience with H2 DB or similar in-memory databases for testing purposes.
- ** Problem-Solving**: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
