Planning, Installing, Configuring & Troubleshooting Database Platform on Cloud and On premise environment.
- Deciding backup policies for huge databases.
- Carrying out maintenance activities like database compression (Optimize database for MySQL) and vacuum for PostgreSQL database.
- Configuring optimal values of some important key parameters.
- Good exposure on database upgrade, migration.
- Provide technical guidance for integration, testing, design, development, planning.
- Contribute to improving and creating DBA policies, procedures and standards.
- Validating backup strategy on a timely basis and making sure that database backup is happening properly.
- Good knowledge of any replication methods like Golden Gate or streaming replication.
- Configuring production alerts using Pagerduty or any other alert mechanism.
- Handling escalations if any.
- Should be able to lead a team of DBA on technical issues.
- Hands on administration on multiple databases technologies will be given preference
- Exposure of working in an infrastructure support environment with responding to tickets using a ticket management tool.
- Should be ready to work as on call outside office hours and weekends.

**Requirements**:

- It is mandatory to work from the customer office on all business working days.
- 6 to 8 Years of experience in the IT industry with exposure to Large scale IT Infrastructure management.
- 4+ Years of experience in My SQL, Postgres Aurora/RDS Database administration.
- Should have sound knowledge of ITIL.
- Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Certified AWS Solution Architect will be an added advantage
