**Job Title: Social Science Teacher**

**Reports To**: Principal

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and deliver well-structured lessons using a variety of instructional methods.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments tailored to students' needs.
- Use maps, models, charts, and digital tools to make lessons interactive and engaging.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, inquiry, and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Conduct assessments and provide regular feedback on student performance.
- Prepare students for internal and board examinations (if applicable).
- Organize and oversee activities such as field trips, debates, and exhibitions related to Social Science.
- Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and academic performance.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Promote values of citizenship, democratic responsibility, and global awareness.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is **mandatory**.
- 2-5 years of teaching experience at middle or secondary level (preferred).
- Sound knowledge of the school curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
- Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to integrate technology and current affairs into lessons effectively.
- Fluent in English and Hindi (as per medium of instruction).

**Preferred**:

- Experience teaching in a CBSE/ICSE-affiliated school.
- Ability to use digital tools like smartboards, Google Classroom, or LMS platforms.
- Participation in Social Science-related clubs, MUNs, or student civic engagement activities.
