3. Product Knowledge: Medical representatives must have in-depth knowledge about their company's products, including their composition, mechanism of action, indications, contraindications, and side effects. They should be able to effectively communicate this information to healthcare professionals.

4. Market Research: Medical representatives gather market intelligence by monitoring competitor products, market trends, and customer feedback. This information helps in developing effective sales strategies and identifying opportunities for growth.
