Key Responsibilities:
Periodic branch visit and verify the quality, quantity and inventory of pledged gold and cash. Check authenticity of transactions and adherence to systems and procedures by scrutinising the transactions put through the relevant inspection period including handling ornaments
- To verify the records and registers to ascertain whether there is any lapses/discrepancy in maintaining such records
- To verify that all statutory requirements are fulfilled at branch and all necessary certificates, licences and notices are put in place
- To verify whether there is any lapses in security and safety of the branch and assets
- To verify that all the staff members are strictly following the code and conduct rules and their behaviour and attitude are in line with company values and guidelines
- To verify the earlier inspection report and its compliance/closure
- Continuous market awareness e.g. if a group of persons or a suspected gang is operating in an area, the concerned risk factors to be studied in detail and alerted in order to avert possible losses
- To report any discrepancies without favour, not leaving out even seemingly minor irregularities as they may lead to serious irregularity in future
- Provide feedback on the training provided by Gold loan Trainers
- To understand the processes in detail, including any modifications, on a day to day basis
- Send all reports/MIS on time to the concerned department
- Monitor collection at branches and ensure timely collection of due amount
- Conduct timely auction and monitor end to end process

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in gold valuation and audit at gold loan NBFCs
- Experience in collection and auction will be preferred.
- These personnel would also have to be adept in various gold valuation techniques
- Conversant in cash counting and physical verification
- Monitoring staff behaviour and awareness on products and policies.
- Process understanding, KYC Knowledge ,Understanding of the documents required, Product knowledge
