**Instructing Students**: Conduct abacus classes and provide instruction to students on how to effectively use the abacus tool for mental calculations. Teach students different techniques, methods, and strategies to perform arithmetic calculations using the abacus.
- **Curriculum Development**: Develop or adapt an appropriate curriculum for abacus instruction based on the age, skill level, and learning needs of the students. Create lesson plans, teaching materials, and resources to facilitate effective learning.
- **Classroom Management**: Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment in the classroom. Manage student behavior, encourage active participation, and ensure that students are focused and attentive during lessons.
- **Individualized Instruction**: Assess students' abilities and progress and provide individualized instruction and support as needed. Identify areas where students may require additional assistance and provide remedial teaching to help them overcome difficulties.
- **Monitoring Progress**: Regularly evaluate students' progress and provide feedback on their performance. Conduct assessments, quizzes, and examinations to assess their understanding and skill development in using the abacus tool.
- **Parent Communication**: Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, areas of improvement, and strategies for further development. Provide regular updates on students' achievements and address any concerns or queries from parents.
- **Classroom Organization**: Set up and organize the classroom, ensuring that it is conducive to learning. Maintain and manage the abacus tools and teaching materials, ensuring they are in good condition and readily available for student use.
- **Professional Development**: Stay updated with the latest trends, methodologies, and advancements in abacus teaching. Attend professional development workshops, seminars, or training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- **Safety and Well-being**: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during the class. Maintain a safe and secure environment, follow safety protocols, and address any emergencies or incidents promptly and appropriately.
- **Collaboration**: Collaborate with other teachers, school staff, and administrators to coordinate activities, share best practices, and contribute to the overall development of students and the school.
