Responsibilities and Duties

Setup and operate audio visual equipment for trainings, presentations, meetings, conferences and social events.

Setting up Audio Equipment
- setting up speakers, cables and power strips, connecting microphones to powered speakers, amplifiers and audio mixers, connecting MP3 and laptops for ambient music and social events.

Setting up Video Equipment

setting up projectors with cables and power strips, adjusting display as per requirement, connecting laptops and making adjustments in the laptop for proper display.

Computer skills
- working with basic computer technology is a necessity for audiovisual professionals.

Troubleshooting
- AV technicians troubleshoot all equipment issues in a timely manner. Successful technicians strive to exceed expectations.

Physical fitness
- lt is common for technicians to lift 50 to 80 pounds individually, Furthermore, standing, walking, climbing ladders, and navigating tight spaces is a common requirement for AV technicians.

Customer service
- Interfacing with customers and guests on-site to make sure their desires are met and that equipment is functioning is a major responsibility of these technicians.

Organization skills
- Provide excellent equipment services to meet client expectations.

Perform equipment storage and transportation activities in safe and secure manner.

Perform inventory management of equipment, wirings, and accessories to avoid any shortages.

Perform equipment additions, removals, repairs, replacements and inspections.

Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.

Assemble and disassemble audio visual equipment as needed on day to day basis.

Test equipment to ensure they are in good and safe working conditions.

Prioritize and complete work orders accurately and setup the equipment.

Provide technical assistance to other Technicians when required.

Maintain the equipment and cables keeping them clean, safe and organized.

Cool-headed, self-motivated individuals who think fast on their feet and enjoy technical support will thrive in this role.
