Data Entry Operator

**Roles**:

- Entering data into database software and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been input.
- Compiling, verifying accuracy, and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry.
- Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities, and checking output.
- Maintaining and updating filing systems and other digital/physical recordkeeping systems.
- Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation.
- Scanning documents and printing files, when necessary.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position
- Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch-typing systems preferred
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
- Basic understanding of databases
- Good command of English (oral and written)
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
