**Job Title: Data Scientist - New Business Initiatives (Female Only)**

**Location: Kharagpur**

**Department: Strategy & Analytics / New Business Ventures**

**Reporting To: Head - Data & Digital Strategy / Chief Strategy Officer**

**Job Purpose**:
**To drive data-driven decision-making for new business initiatives by leveraging advanced analytics, statistical models, and machine learning techniques to uncover insights, predict trends, and optimize processes.**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Data Strategy & Architecture**

u **Collaborate with business leaders to understand data needs for new ventures.**

u **Define data requirements and sources across internal and external systems.**

**2. Modeling & Prediction**

u **Build, test, and deploy predictive models (classification, regression, time-series).**

u **Utilize machine learning and AI to solve business problems and drive automation.**

**3. Business Insights**

u **Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.**

u **Present complex results in actionable formats (dashboards, reports, presentations).**

**4. Tooling & Development**

u **Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python/R, SQL, and tools like Apache Spark or Airflow.**

u **Use cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for model deployment and monitoring.**

**5. Collaboration**

u **Work closely with business, finance, operations, and product teams to align insights with strategy.**

**Skills & Qualifications**:
u **Master’s/Bachelor’s in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.**

u **3-6 years experience in data science, preferably in startup or new business environments.**

u **Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow.**

u **Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and data version control (e.g., Git).**

u **Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.**

**Preferred**:
u **Experience in market research, supply chain, finance, or manufacturing sectors.**

u **Knowledge of deep learning or NLP is a plus.**

Pay: ₹569,491.15 - ₹1,922,073.39 per year
