The Role

Infrastructure Architects are the key link between Kyndryl and our clients. You’re in a technical leadership role, uniting and guiding stakeholders from clients, governance, and project executives to delivery and sometimes even the vendors who work with the client. You’ll be there from the start of a project — understanding what’s needed and figuring out the best technical solution. And you’ll be there at the finish, delivering the right product on time and within budget.

At Kyndryl we support all major cloud platforms, so you’ll get the chance to use everything you know - and then some. You’ll also become expert at knowing when and how to call on other SMEs outside your wheelhouse. Thinking your way around pre-existing limitations will grow your creativity and flexibility. Required Technical and Professional Experience
- Overall 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Infrastructure Design & Build: Design and implement robust infrastructure solutions on platforms like Windows and Linux that align with business and technical requirements.
- Major Incident Management: Actively engage in major incidents, providing expert analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Technical Guidance: Offer strategic and hands-on guidance to technical teams, ensuring effective problem resolution and knowledge sharing.
- Customer Engagement: Resolve customer queries and escalations in a timely and professional manner, providing clear and creative solutions.
- Collaboration with Account Team: Work closely with the account teams to understand business requirements and ensure alignment between infrastructure capabilities and customer needs.
- Service Improvement Plan (SIP): Lead and drive service improvement initiatives for the account, ensuring continuous enhancements to service delivery.
- AWS Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of AWS to provide solutions for cloud-based requirements, including migrations, optimizations, and infrastructure scaling.
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Create innovative solutions to address client challenges, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Platform Infrastructure Architect with expertise in Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, with experience in designing and deploying cloud solutions.
- Experience in incident management and providing technical solutions during major escalations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage with and guide technical teams effectively.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to address escalations and queries.
- Experience in working with account teams and driving service improvements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, etc.) are a plus.
- Experience in leading service improvement initiatives in large-scale environments.
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles, providing technical support and guidance.
