Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician in the Printing and Packaging Industry is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring the optimal performance of machines used in printing, packaging, and other manufacturing processes. The technician is required to have a strong technical background, particularly as an ITI Fitter or Electrician, with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.

Required Education : ITI/ Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical or Electrical with min 2 to 5 Years Experience as Maintenance Profile in Printing and Packaging Industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Equipment Maintenance**:

- Perform regular preventive maintenance on printing and packaging machinery, including slitting machines, corrugators, folding machines, and other production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Inspect and replace worn-out parts such as belts, bearings, gears, and electrical components.
- Ensure that machines are calibrated to maintain precision and optimal performance.
- **Troubleshooting and Repairs**:

- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation problems on production lines, ensuring quick and efficient resolution.
- Perform immediate corrective maintenance during machine breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Ensure the root cause of breakdowns is identified and resolved to prevent recurrence.
- **Electrical and Mechanical Systems Maintenance**:

- Perform electrical repairs, including working on control panels, motors, wiring, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
- Conduct mechanical repairs and adjustments to components such as drives, motors, and gears.
- Ensure proper maintenance of electrical distribution systems and safety devices in the plant.
- **Preventive Maintenance Programs**:

- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for equipment, ensuring mínimal downtime and long equipment life.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, including tasks completed, parts used, and any issues resolved.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to detect early signs of wear or potential malfunctions.
- **Installation and Setup**:

- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, ensuring they are set up according to manufacturer specifications.
- Provide assistance in equipment upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency or meet production requirements.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performing maintenance tasks, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Report safety hazards and work with the safety team to resolve any issues related to maintenance.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with production operators and supervisors to identify potential mechanical issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operators on machine-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with the maintenance team and other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions to production.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, replacements, and service schedules.
- Update machinery logs and report any unusual behavior or recurring issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Ensure that inventory levels for spare parts and materials are regularly monitored and managed to avoid production delays.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
