**Key Responsibilities**
- Data Input: Transferring raw data from various sources (e.g., paper, digital files, audio) into digital formats within computer systems and databases.
- Data Verification: Checking entered data for accuracy, completeness, and correctness, and correcting errors as needed.
- Data Organization: Sorting, cataloging, and managing digital and physical records to ensure they are organized for easy retrieval and future use.
- Data Maintenance: Updating existing information and performing routine maintenance on databases and digital files.
- Confidentiality: Handling sensitive company and customer information with strict adherence to confidentiality and security protocols.
- Report Generation: Providing data and reports to other departments or executives upon request.

**Required Skills**:

- Typing Skills: High typing speed and accuracy, including proficiency in 10-key data entry.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient use of databases, spreadsheets (like Microsoft Excel), and other data-entry platforms.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulousness to prevent errors that could lead to significant problems for the company.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to create and maintain organized filing systems for efficient data management.
- Communication Skills: Clear communication for administrative tasks and interactions within the office environment.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to identify inconsistencies and resolve data discrepancies.

**Typical Qualifications**
- A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required.
- On-the-job training is common for specialized software and company procedures.
- Some positions may require specific experience with certain database or spreadsheet software.
