We are looking for an expert Content Strategist (reporting to the Vice President of Marketing) who can help us build a strong, data-driven content footprint which conveys the use cases and value of our software. This individual will manage at least one content writer. As one of the first marketers in the company, this is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark on a disruptive and rapidly growing Salesforce product.

**What’ll you do**:

- Targeting research: work closely with product, sales, and customer success teams to create and maintain a detailed map of buyer personas, pain points, Valorx use cases, and competing offerings. Such mapping will incorporate qualitative and data-driven insights (from our CRM, from SEO keyword research, from competitors).
- Content planning: identify which content pillars, sub-pillars, topics, and content types (e.g., articles, guides, infographics, videos, webinars) best match the buyer personas established in the targeting research. Audit existing content and uncover gaps. Align and manage internal resources around an aggressive content calendar (additional resources will be added over time).
- Content creation: define a process for new content creation (e.g., briefs, templates, style guides, review workflows, etc.). Bring to life the content calendar. While internal resources will be available to help with content creation (from writers to designers to videographers), the Content Strategist is expected to substantially contribute with ideating, writing, editing, and publishing content.
- Evolve your strategy: bring a test-and-learn, data-driven approach to adapting your strategy according to performance and to the competitive landscape.

**Who you are**:

- You have 4+ years of experience in content strategy, not just as a writer but as someone who has done targeting research and content mapping, ideally for a B2B SaaS product. Plus if you have experience working within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- You are a strong writer and communicator who has a penchant for making complex topics accessible and engaging. You have knowledge of AP style and keen attention to grammar and spelling. You have working experience with various content types (written, graphics, multimedia). You keep an eye out for new and creative ways to communicate with customers and prospects.
- You are eager to understand the Valorx product inside and out. You look forward to collaborating with our product development team to become an expert in our product functionality and participate in our agile process. Plus if you have experience using a structured approach to product documentation, such as DocBook or DITA.
- You’re proficient at collaborating with and influencing people across various time zones: develop trust up (all the way to the CEO), down, and across teams in product, customer success, and sales.
- You’re customer-centric: you deeply understand customer pain points. You don’t get stuck in self-centered, feature-driven content marketing; instead, you create content that aspires to surprise and delight current and prospective customers.
- You’re data-driven: you chase, mine, share, and use data to make informed decisions. You have experience measuring content performance.
