Hostel Warden

**Looking for Hostel Wardens**

**Experience: Minimum 10 years**

**Age: Above 35 years**

**The Warden shall be provided with free accommodation in the hostel and shall be required to live in the hostel.**

**She/he shall not stay out of the hostel on any night unless he/she obtains prior permission from the principal in writing and delegates his/her responsibilities in agreement with the principal**.
- **The Job Requirements**_

Ø Physically fit and punctual.

Ø Should have security measures knowledge.

Ø Must have the ability to take action of any incoming message or telephone calls.

Ø Be familiar with hostel rules and regulations and be able to adhere to all set policies.

Ø Mentally strong and should have analytical skills to determine the situation immediately a longtime working capacity with a strong mind.

Ø Be positive with students, handle their issues with care, and be able to supervise in getting the best performance.
- **Responsibilities**_
- _Must directly hold control of the hostel and administer the hostel affairs._
- _Reporting to the college principal_.

All matters requiring approval, attention, or advice of the principal or of the college
management, relating to discipline or change of conditions in the hostel or to a
need or deficiency in the hostel shall be initiated by the Warden.
- _Responsible for maintaining discipline and law and order in the hostel and shall use his/her discretion and judgment in all cases requiring immediate attention and action._
- _Responsible for sanitation in the hostel and hostel premises._

(Including maintenance of lawns and landscape)
- _Organize social and cultural activities in the hostel with the prior permission of the principal._
- _Responsible for monitoring, counseling, and mentoring students._
- _Maintain Security and Safety, punctuality, taking care of students._
- _Make communication with parents and hostel management._
- _Must take care of all functions which include meal ordering, cleaning, coordinating with the maintenance team, and making sure everything is running smoothly._

Daily check unused electricity and assist electrician repair and maintenance. Must check water availability in all rooms, and provide any type of assistance to the students when needed.
- _All the guests are provided with the best experience and service._
- _Arranges for first-aid in case of any emergency and arrange for hospitalization of student, if required._
- _Maintain records of the students who are going home etc. and also maintain records of the absence of the students from the hostel campus._

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Fixed shift
- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Alappuzha, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- total work: 10 years (preferred)
