Prime Tester

Overview:
Works independently taking full responsibility for a certain test areas, assisting senior team members. Maintains the status of the project and directs and monitors the work of junior team members. Provides guidance to enable others.

**Responsibilities**:

- Co-ordinates work on multiple phases of a project and/or projects of moderate scope or possibly in more complex assignments.
- Is involved in hands-on testing activities. Supports and works with QA Analysts.
- Works on quality assurance projects using available test frameworks and tools and establishing plans for projects with on-time and on-budget project goals.
- Responsible for a certain test area and conditions as well as results evaluation, problem resolution and planning.
- Ensure compliance with testing best practices and standards.
- Scopes and creates quality assurance plans, data, procedures, and scripts.
- Scopes out and creates test coverage, designing specifications and defining conditions for given requirements. Maintaining the integrity of the test environment.
- Interprets, reviews and reports test activities and results in accordance with project plans.
- Identifies test issues, reporting risks and defining regression tests for current and future projects and logs these as best practices and learning points.
- Understands business end-to-end processes and participates in production verification and validation.
- Contributes to management reporting including appropriate test metrics on planning, defects and execution.
- Deputises for Lead as required.
- Understanding of the banking and financial domain is an essential requirement for this role.
- Be part of bank’s agile squad team mainly responsible for user testing for payment systems specifically cards issuing and acquiring domain that includes but not limited to Point of Sale, QR, Payment Gateway, Credit, Debit, Prepaid, Corporate cards and other
related payment systems.
- The job demands understanding of issuing and acquiring business requirement, writing UAT test cases, execution and report issues from end
user (customer/Ops) perspective. It is desirable to have working knowledge on products such as TSYS PRIME and ACI Postilion.

Role

The UAT tester will be part of Cards Agile Squad and will be responsible for business user testing such as test cases preparation, execution, reporting bug, capturing all results
- Be part of agile team to perform business user testing.
- Knowledge of card issuing processes
- Knowledge of card acquiring processes
- Understand user stories and write test cases meeting sprint’s “definition of done”
- Must be able to use Simulators from Visa, MasterCard.

Principal responsbilities

As a business user tester, I have to deal with all the activities associated with the sprints.

Part of bank’s agile team

Prepare UAT test cases

User acceptance testing execution

Document all test results using bank muscat testing tool

Manual testing execution

Willing to learn and work on bank proposed automation testing tool

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
- ISTQB Foundation
Additional course or certification in Quality Assurance
