**Key Responsibilities**
- **Medication Dispensing & Verification**:

- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications.
- Verify dosages, check for drug interactions, and ensure proper labeling.
- Maintain detailed prescription records in compliance with regulations.
- **Patient Consultation & Education**:

- Counsel patients on correct medication use, possible side effects, and storage instructions.
- Advise on over-the-counter (OTC) medications, supplements, and general health concerns.
- Provide information on lifestyle modifications and disease prevention.
- **Collaboration with Healthcare Providers**:

- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans.
- Suggest alternative medications or therapies when appropriate.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure adherence to national, state, and local pharmacy laws.
- Safeguard controlled substances and maintain accurate inventory logs.
- Follow professional and ethical standards set by pharmacy boards.
- **Clinical & Administrative Duties**:

- Manage inventory, order pharmaceuticals, and monitor stock levels.
- Participate in medication therapy management (MTM) programs.
- Keep current with emerging medical and pharmaceutical knowledge.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- **Education**: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- **Licensure**: State pharmacy license in good standing.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and counseling abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and health information systems.

**Work Environment**
- Retail pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, research institutions, or pharmaceutical companies.
- May require weekend, evening, or holiday shifts depending on the setting.
- Standing for extended periods and frequent patient interaction.

**Experience Required: Minimum 2yrs experince required.**
