**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assemble, fit, and adjust various types of valves (safety relief valves, globe valves, ball valves) and pumps according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform accurate mechanical assembly of components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Inspect, test, and verify assembled valves and pumps to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
- Follow detailed assembly procedures and work instructions to ensure proper fit and function.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during the assembly process and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Ensure proper alignment, torque, and pressure testing on assembled units.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams to improve assembly processes and quality.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on assembly tools and equipment.
- Complete and maintain necessary production documentation and reports.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Proven experience as a mechanical fitter/assembler in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of valve and pump assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of industrial standards for valves and pumps (API, ASME, etc.) is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- For Freshers:_
- A mechanical engineering diploma or ITI fitter certificate.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in mechanical assembly.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift moderate weights as required.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
