**Job Title - Principal - Database Administrator**

**The Purpose of This Role**

Hired associate would be responsible for providing end to end support for the backend databases of Fidelity. The associate in this role would work towards providing stability in the environment, ensure databases and services are up and running always, ensure compliance of databases with respect to the latest security patches and maintain TLM support for Fidelity databases. he associate will be fully involved in Incident Management, Change Management & Problem Management. The associate should have hands on experience in database operations, database cloud migrations and programming and will be supporting, coordinating, leading multiple projects within the team. The associate also needs to have a good exposure on various Cloud technologies ( both flavors - fully managed and IAAS ) in Database Space.

The associate will be supporting, coordinating, leading multiple projects within the team, he will also be required to take on-call during the week/weekend in different shifts. The associate should be eager to work on automation/cloud technologies etc.
- Expertise in Database Design, HA, Migration, DR Experience in configuring Monitoring tools like Data Dog, OEM
- Strong hands on experience in creating and managing Oracle and SQL databases ( DBA Experience )
- Experience in transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experienced in CI/CD, DevOps using tools like Udeploy, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, Maven, CHEF, Ansible, Puppet
- In depth knowledge of DR deployment patterns and their cost optimization with an eye towards RPO and RTO

**The Skills that are Key to this role**

**Technical / Behavioral**
- Administration of Oracle 19c RAC/Standalone databases on Unix
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and lead production calls
- Exadata/ZFS Patching, Upgrade, Maintenance
- Install, Upgrade and Patching of Oracle RAC cluster and databases
- RMAN backup and restore
- Administration of Golden Gate, Data Guard, OEM, ASM, ACFS, ZFS
- Willing to learn new technologies
- Experience in Cloud for IAAS & Managed database services
- Experience in creating automations using Shell/Python
- Experience in transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
