**Job Title: Horticulturist**

**Position Type**: Full-time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct research on plant varieties, growth conditions, and pest management strategies.
- Develop and implement cultivation plans for gardens, greenhouses, and landscapes.
- Monitor plant health, diagnose issues, and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Manage soil health through testing, amendments, and sustainable practices.
- Collaborate with landscape designers, botanists, and other professionals on projects.
- Educate staff and community members on horticultural best practices and sustainable gardening techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of plant care, treatments, and inventory.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, Plant Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in horticulture or a related role (2+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of plant physiology, pest management, and soil science.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as planting, pruning, and maintaining gardens.
