**Job description**

An Assistant/ Associate Professor of Economics is an academic position in an Institute, primarily focused on teaching Economics related Subjects, research, and service. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Service**:Participating in departmental meetings, serving on university committees, and contributing to the overall academic environment.
- **Mentorship**:Advising graduate and undergraduate students, mentoring teaching assistants, and providing guidance to junior faculty.
- **Course Development**:Developing and updating course materials, syllabi, and assignments.
- **Administrative Tasks**:Handling administrative duties related to teaching, research, and departmental activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Specifically requires a Ph.D. and Master's degree in Economics.
- **UGC NET** Qualified
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively and conduct research.
- **Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.**:

- A portfolio of published research articles may be desirable.
