The nVent CADDY brand includes fixing, fastening and support products for electrical installation, seismic and fire protection, data communications and heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. nVent LENTON offers components for concrete reinforcing steel connections. - WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
The Technology Designer position is a CAD drafting position responsible for digital product maintenance of CAD models, as well as data management within our PLM systems for nVent CADDY and LENTON products. This designer will primarily be responsible for creating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks. The designer will possess the ability to translate stakeholders’ technical requirements into manufacturable designs with guidance from Engineering. The CAD designer will develop new models and drawings, as well as update changes to existing products. This position has the potential to develop into an Application Engineering position.
- KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and maintain engineering product drawings
- Create SolidWorks/AutoCAD drawings for CADDY and LENTON products
- Execute part setup process, meeting customer lead time expectations
- Interpret stakeholder requirements and generate internal technical documentation to meet those requirements
- Support cross-functional project teams with Engineering drawings and documentation
- Manage documents and current revision levels in PLM system
- Develop BIM Models per customer requirements
- Develop and utilize FEA models to determine performance of product
- Hybrid Position (3 days in office/2 work from home)
- Location: Mumbai
- QUIALIFICATIONS ANS EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Addition schooling or certification in technical fields (Vocational, CAD, etc.) a plus.
- 1-5 years’ experience as a CAD designer in the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical assemblies
- Managing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment in a self-directed manner
- Strong skills working in various CAD systems (SolidWorks, Revit, and AutoCAD)
- Strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated, with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Fluent in English
