Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of core components, libraries, and modules used across Android TV solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party SDKs, middleware, and services.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, Architects and external partners to drive highly scalable technical Solutions.
- Collaborate with Android TV original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to facilitate new device launches and Android version upgrades.
- Ensure security, privacy, and compliance with platform guidelines.
- Drive innovation by staying updated with the latest in Android TV, AOSP, and smart TV technologies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Android development teams.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure adherence to architectural principles.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define scalable and maintainable technology roadmaps.
- Define and constantly review Technical KPI’s for Product Experience to ensure best inclass customer experience.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in Android platform development.
- Deep expertise in Android TV, Leanback library, ExoPlayer, and custom launcher development.
- Strong understanding of Android system internals, AOSP, and HAL layers (preferred).
- Solid knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and release processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills, debugging experience, and performance profiling knowledge.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with native C/C++ using the Android NDK.
- Exposure to DRM, Widevine, OTT streaming services, or broadcast technologies (DVB/ATSC).
- Experience working with OEMs or chipset vendors for Android TV platform development.
- Contributions to open-source Android TV projects or AOSP is a plus.
