**About Ummeed**:
Ummeed, a premier non-profit organization for children with disabilities in India, supports children with developmental disabilities to reach their maximum potential and be included in society.

India has over 50 million children with disabilities under the age of 15. With access to appropriate health, intervention, education, recreation, and livelihood services they can be supported to become participative members of society. Today most of them have limited or no access to relevant knowledge and services as the number of organizations and professionals in the space are inadequate to meet the need. To date, Ummeed has supported 14,500 children through direct clinical services and reached an estimated 0.43 million children through network partners that are enabled and trained by Ummeed.

Ummeed was founded in 2001 by Dr. Vibha Krishnamurthy, a developmental pediatrician. Today, with a diverse workforce of over 100 committed professionals, Ummeed’s transdisciplinary approach works towards:

- Supporting children with disabilities in their developmental trajectory and overcoming barriers through direct clinical services, and helping families in their journey towards acceptance and empowerment
- Building a network of trained professionals and community workers to monitor and promote Early Childhood Development, identify children with developmental disabilities and provide timely and appropriate interventions to them and their families
- Changing societal attitudes so that children with disabilities can overcome barriers to participation and inclusion

**About the Position**:
**Key Areas of Responsibility**:
**Illustration**:

- Develop original illustrations for various projects, including:

- Print materials (brochures, flyers, posters, booklets, reports)

- Presentations and infographics

- Event signage and displays

- Outdoor advertising (OOH)
- Work closely with writers and other team members to ensure illustrations effectively communicate key messages
- Explore and experiment with different illustration styles and techniques, including hand-drawn, digital, and mixed media

**Graphic Design**:

- Design and develop a wide range of marketing and communications materials, including:
- Brand guidelines and style guides

- Social media campaigns

- Digital advertisements

- Presentation decks

- Event collateral & OOH

- Storyboards for concepts

**Conceptualization & Ideation**:

- Contribute to the creative development of campaigns and projects, offering innovative and impactful visual solutions
- Develop strong concepts and visual narratives that align with the Ummeed's ethos, brand and messaging
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas

**Required Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field or equivalent with 5-8 years of professional experience in a fast-paced agency environment.

**Essential Skills**:

- Illustration: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant illustration softwares. Strong drawing, painting, and/or digital illustration skills.
- Graphic Design: Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Strong understanding of typography, layout, and color theory
- Conceptual Skills: Strong conceptual thinking, problem-solving, and creative ideation skills. Ability to translate complex ideas into compelling visuals
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and present work effectively
- Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and build strong relationships
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of illustration and graphic design work, including both personal and professional projects
