- Quality: Ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes
- Safety: Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the tandoor oven
- Hygiene: Ensuring hygiene standards are maintained
- Teamwork: Working well with the service team and other kitchen staff
- Menu planning: Planning menus and estimating food and labor costs
- Inventory: Controlling food stock and costs
- Training: Training kitchen staff in food preparation techniques
- Ordering: Requisitioning food, kitchen supplies, and equipment
- Maintenance: Inspecting store rooms, refrigerators, and freezers to ensure cleanliness and no wastage
- Working environment: Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
- Safety practices: Complying with work practices and wearing protective clothing
- Manual handling: Using safe manual handling techniques
