A Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors by patrolling and monitoring the premises. The role involves preventing unauthorized access, ensuring that the property is secure, and responding to emergencies as needed.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Patrol Premises**:
- Regularly patrol the interior and exterior of the property to ensure all areas are secure.
- Observe and report suspicious activity or security hazards.
- Monitor and adjust security cameras to ensure coverage of critical areas.
- **Monitor Surveillance Equipment**:
- Continuously monitor security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance equipment.
- Respond promptly to alarms, identifying the cause and taking necessary actions.
- **Access Control**:
- Check identification and verify credentials for individuals entering the premises.
- Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
- Manage visitor logs and issue visitor badges as needed.
- **Respond to Incidents**:
- Respond to security breaches, emergencies, or incidents, including medical situations, fire alarms, or criminal activity.
- Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel during incidents or emergencies.
- Report any security or safety issues to the appropriate authorities.
- **Enforce Rules and Regulations**:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and regulations.
- Address and handle minor security violations or disturbances, including property damage or theft.
- **Provide Customer Service**:
- Greet employees, clients, and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
- Offer assistance or directions as needed.
- Maintain a positive public image while ensuring security.
- **Maintain Security Logs**:
- Complete daily security logs and incident reports.
- Maintain detailed records of all activities during shifts, including patrol routes, visitor logs, and any incidents.
- **Prevent Theft & Vandalism**:
- Deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities through active surveillance and physical presence.
- Respond to shoplifting or suspicious behavior when appropriate.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- **High school diploma or equivalent** required.
- **Security training or certification** may be required (e.g., First Aid, CPR, Security Guard License).
- **Physical fitness** to patrol premises and respond to emergencies.
- Strong **observation and problem-solving skills**.
- Good **communication skills** for reporting incidents and providing customer service.
- Ability to work **independently** and handle high-pressure situations.
- **Knowledge of security systems**, including surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control.
- Ability to maintain **confidentiality** and remain professional in all situations.
**Working Conditions**:
- The position may require working **night shifts, weekends, or holidays**.
- Guards may need to endure **long periods of standing, walking, or patrolling**.
- Ability to handle stressful or emergency situations calmly.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 25-50 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairs or walk long distances.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

Pay: ₹15,400.00 - ₹18,655.52 per month
