**Job Description:
- **
- Interviewing students Admission counselors meet with prospective students to answer questions and provide guidance on courses, financial aid, and scholarships.
- Making admissions decisions Admission counselors work with other admissions counselors to review applicants, make final decisions, and send out offers.
- Following up with students Admission counselors maintain contact with prospective students to ensure they have all the information they need.
- Promoting the institution Admission counselors recruit students by visiting high schools and college events, arranging campus tours, and participating in outreach activities.
- Collaborating with other departmentsAdmission counselors work with other departments to ensure a smooth transition for new students.
- Updating knowledge Admission counselors keep current with legal guidelines and requirements, and participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations**.**
