Deputy General Manager (DGM) Corporate Quality
Position Overview:
As the Deputy General Manager (DGM) Corporate Quality, you will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout the forging company's operations in Faridabad. You will oversee the quality management system, develop quality assurance strategies, and lead a team of professionals to achieve excellence in quality control and improvement. This role is crucial in upholding the company's reputation for delivering superior products and services to customers.
**Responsibilities**:
Develop and implement the company's quality management system, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Establish quality control processes and monitor their effectiveness to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Lead a team of quality professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure their professional growth and optimal contribution to the organization.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess adherence to quality standards across all functional areas, including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and customer service.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality metrics, set objectives, and monitor performance against targets, ensuring continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Analyze data and metrics related to quality, identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights to drive process improvements and optimize operational efficiency.
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to establish quality standards, evaluate their performance, and foster strong partnerships based on quality and reliability.
Drive a culture of quality awareness and accountability across the organization through training programs, workshops, and communication initiatives.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements pertaining to quality management and proactively recommend and implement necessary changes to maintain a competitive edge.
Collaborate with senior management to develop quality strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives, ensuring that quality is an integral part of the business strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. A master's degree would be an advantage.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the fastener industry or related manufacturing sector.
In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, quality control methodologies, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Experience in conducting audits, inspections, and implementing corrective actions.
Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and quality improvement techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and external partners.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of supply chain management and experience in supplier quality management would be desirable.
