A Housekeeping Supervisor for Banquets ensures that banquet venues are clean, organized,and ready to meet the highest standards of guest satisfaction. Below is a detailed list of responsibilities:
Supervision and Team Management

1. Assign daily cleaning and preparation duties for banquet areas, including pre
- and

post-event tasks.

2. Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently

and to the required standard.

3. Provide training to housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and

equipment usage.

4. Monitor staff performance and address any performance issues promptly.

Facility Cleaning and Maintenance

5. Ensure banquet halls, restrooms, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces are

thoroughly cleaned and maintained.

6. Inspect banquet areas for cleanliness before and after events, ensuring readiness for

the next function.

7. Oversee the cleaning of carpets, upholstery, windows, and other furnishings as

needed.

8. Coordinate with the maintenance team for repair or replacement of damaged or

malfunctioning items.

Inventory and Supplies Management

9. Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping materials

required for banquets.

10. Order and replenish supplies to ensure no disruptions during events.

11. Track usage of materials and manage inventory to control costs.

Event Preparation

12. Ensure the banquet spaces are set up according to event requirements, including

proper arrangement of furniture and décor.

13. Supervise the placement of linens, centerpieces, and other decorative items in line

with event themes.

14. Coordinate with event planners and catering staff to meet specific client needs.

Health and Safety Compliance

15. Enforce hygiene and cleanliness standards in accordance with local health and safety

regulations.

16. Conduct regular safety checks of equipment and cleaning agents to ensure safe usage.

17. Train staff on proper handling of cleaning chemicals and waste disposal procedures.

Guest Interaction and Support

18. Address any housekeeping-related issues or complaints from guests promptly and

professionally.

19. Ensure restrooms and common areas are frequently cleaned and restocked during

events.

20. Collaborate with event coordinators to provide exceptional service and meet guest

expectations.

Scheduling and Coordination

21. Plan housekeeping staff schedules to accommodate the demands of banquet events.

22. Coordinate with other departments, such as catering and facilities, to ensure smooth

operations.

23. Oversee quick turnovers between events, ensuring readiness of spaces on time.

Emergency and Contingency Management

24. Respond to unexpected situations, such as spills, equipment malfunctions, or

accidents, to minimize disruptions.

25. Ensure emergency cleaning supplies and equipment are readily available for

immediate use.

26. Develop and implement contingency plans for high-demand periods or unexpected

staff shortages.

Record Keeping and Reporting

27. Maintain logs of cleaning activities, inspections, and staff attendance.

28. Report any damage, theft, or maintenance issues to the appropriate department.

29. Prepare and submit reports on housekeeping operations and event feedback to

management

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
