**Position Overview**:The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with GST filings. This role requires proficiency in Tally, a strong understanding of GST compliance, and excellent attention to detail. The Accounts Clerk will help ensure that financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with applicable tax laws.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Accounts Payable**: Process and track vendor invoices, reconcile statements, and ensure timely payments.
- **Accounts Receivable**: Assist with invoicing clients, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- **General Ledger**: Maintain and update accounts in the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- **GST Filing**: Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) on time and ensure GST compliance.
- **Financial Reporting**: Assist with the preparation of financial reports, statements, and other accounting documentation.
- **Bank Reconciliation**: Reconcile bank statements with accounting records.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for financial documents.
- **Support Audits**: Assist with internal and external audits as required.
- **Other Duties**: Provide general support to the finance team and assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or certificate in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, with specific experience using Tally and handling GST filings.
- **Skills**:

- Proficient in **Tally ERP** for accounting and financial management.
- Solid understanding of **GST** compliance and filing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
