Tig Welder

Operates and maintains TIG Welding (GTAW or TIG) equipment to weld metal parts according to drawings, and specifications, often requiring a high degree of precision and finesse.
- Performs intricate and high-quality TIG welding on various metals, including MS, stainless steel, and other specialty alloys.
- Inspects completed welds for accuracy, penetration, and absence of defects, ensuring they meet stringent quality standards.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures associated with TIG welding.
- May involve working with thin gauge materials and complex weld joints.

**Responsibilities**:

- **TIG Welding and Fabrication**:

- Set up and operate TIG welding machines, including selecting appropriate tungsten electrodes, shielding gases, and adjusting amperage and voltage settings.
- Perform high-precision TIG welding on various metals such as stainless steel, MS and other specialty alloys.
- Weld parts in various positions (e.g., flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) while maintaining weld quality.
- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to detailed drawings, and work orders.
- Ensure welds meet stringent quality standards for strength, penetration, and appearance.
- **Blueprint Reading and Interpretation**:

- Accurately read and interpret complex blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications, including tolerances and specific welding instructions.
- Understand and follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
- **Quality Control and Inspection**:

- Thoroughly inspect welds for any defects, such as cracks, porosity, lack of fusion, and distortion.
- Utilize measuring tools and visual inspection techniques to verify weld dimensions and quality.
- **Equipment Maintenance and Safety**:

- Maintain TIG welding equipment in optimal working condition, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and procedures specific to TIG welding, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like welding helmets with appropriate shade, gloves, and protective clothing.
- Ensure proper ventilation and handling of shielding gases.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- **Material Handling and Preparation**:

- Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, deburring, and ensuring proper fit-up.
- Handle and position workpieces using appropriate tools and equipment.
- **Problem Solving and Adaptability**:

- Troubleshoot welding issues and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired results.
- Adapt welding techniques to different materials and joint configurations.
- **Other Duties (as applicable)**:

- May perform light grinding or finishing work to ensure weld quality and appearance.
- Assist other team members as required.

**Job Type**: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
