**The Role**

This is a mid-level role, reporting to the Regional Head. Accordingly, the purpose and key expectations would be as follows:
**The key expectations of the role**:

- Promote and create awareness of organic farming practices within the assigned district.
- Identify and onboard new farmers for organic cultivation initiatives.
- Organize and conduct regular training sessions for farmers under the project.
- Supervise and guide farmers throughout the crop cycle, from sowing to harvesting.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as per project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to organic certification norms and address non-compliance issues, if any.
- Support the formation and strengthening of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) through training and capacity building.
- Drive increased organic yield through technical assistance and field-level monitoring.
- Facilitate marketing linkages for organic produce to ensure farmer profitability.

**Competencies required: Knowledge, skills, attitude**:
**Knowledge**
- **Essential**_:_
- Practical knowledge of organic farming systems.
- Understanding of agricultural practices, cropping systems, and ICS.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- **Desirable**_:_
- Exposure to government projects, certification processes, or FPC formation.
- Project management experience in the agriculture or rural development sector.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-building and people management capabilities.
- Planning, documentation, and reporting proficiency.
- Business acumen with negotiation and farmer engagement abilities.

**The Individual: Education and Experience**

**Essential**_:_
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or allied fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial or coordination role in rural/agriculture sector.
- Good communication in both Hindi and English.

**Desirable**_:_
- Prior experience working with FPCs or organic certification agencies.
- Familiarity with government-led rural/agriculture projects and reporting mechanisms.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
