Residential Staff Nurse

**Responsibilities**:
- To check blood pressure, vitals, sugar levels and record it.
- Accompany doctor on rounds and inform of any medical issues.
- Awareness about antibiotics and of patients who are taking it for what condition.
- Note of investigations planned for patients.
- Dressings / suturing & Injections under the supervision/instructions of Chief Medical Officer.
- Knowledge of medical procedures and types of injections.
- Should have leadership skills to take charge of any medical emergency.
- Indent for medicines to be done.
- Signing the medicine card.
- Responsible for handovers between nurses and reporting it to the supervisors and physician.
- Responsible for distribution of medicine.
- Liase with physicians regarding outside referrals.
- Check all investigations required have been done (blood collection and fill up of lab forms and reaching it to the lab).
- Must be present in one of the floors designated at all times.
- Responsible for preparing billing sheet for store medicines / consumables procedures for all patients treated. ” NIL” sheet should be provided in case no treatment / procedure performed.
- Responsible for maintaining stock of medicines/ medical supplies / consumables etc. in stock register, ensure correctness of stocks at all times and account for shortages / damages/ usages if any.
- Responsible for maintaining separate stock of medicines etc. purchased directly in the name of patients or provided by families of patients.
- Oversee the working of the other nurses on duty.
- To work as Nursing Supervisor as and when she is on leave.
- Maintaining of Medicine Registers.
- Any other responsibility assigned by the Trust as and when required.
- Stay and food accommodation provided since it is residential
