**Description**:
We are a Preschool to Grade 12 school in the city of Rajkot (Gujarat) founded by Harvard alums. Our unique pedagogy, the Northstar Approach, is a research-based approach to learning and teaching that helps students achieve their highest potential by exploring and making discoveries about themselves and their world. We are currently looking for passionate Preschool educators to join our Northstar Early Years Team. Please go through our website to know more about us.

**Responsibilities**:
The role of an early childhood educator is to support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support learner’s wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or on their own within a team.
- Develop and use instructional materials suitable for 2 to 6-year-old learners with varying degrees of mental, physical, and emotional maturity.
- Provide learning experiences in language arts, pre
- math, physical and spiritual wellness, art, role-play, dance, music, health, and other areas as suited to the needs of learners.
- Develop in each student an awareness of himself/herself as an individual and his/her role in the family and community.
- Provide individual and small group instruction designed to meet individual needs of the learners.
- Plan, develop and organize activities for parents to promote parent participation and involvement in educational activities provided for their children.
- Create an effective environment for learning through functional and attractive displays, interest centres, and exhibits of students’ work.
- Observe, record and assess children on the learning development, progress and attainment.
- Co-operate and support colleagues as a team in planning, preparing and developing curriculum and lesson plans.
- Plan, organize and implement various school events and functions.
- Developing positive and respectful relationships with learners and supporting the holistic development of children in early childhood

**Qualifications**:
Need a bachelor or master’s degree in any field of education. Experience as a preschool educator for a minimum of 2 years. Also needs to know the basic preschool learning framework and should be able to support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Early childhood educators must be able to address the emotional, cognitive, social, and physical needs of both individuals and groups of children while effectively communicating with parents.
