A Packaging Designer in the pharmaceutical industry plays a critical role in developing and designing packaging that ensures product safety, regulatory compliance, usability, and brand identity. Their work goes far beyond aesthetics it directly impacts product protection, patient safety, and regulatory adherence. Key responsibilities include developing concepts, selecting materials and graphics, creating prototypes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring designs are cost-effective, sustainable, and compliant with

**1. Design & Development**
- Create primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging designs (e.g., blister packs, bottles, cartons, shipping boxes).
- Design packaging that maintains product stability and integrity (protects from moisture, light, contamination, etc.).
- Create detailed artwork, select typography, colors, and imagery, and ensure the design enhances the product and appeals to the target audience.

**2. Concept Development**:

- Brainstorm and design innovative packaging solutions that are visually appealing and meet brand objectives

**3. Regulatory Compliance**
- Ensure packaging and labelling comply with:

- Local and international regulatory standards.
- Serialization and track & trace requirements.
- Requirements for child-resistant or elderly-friendly packaging.

**4. Material Selection**:
Choose appropriate materials that balance cost, durability, sustainability, and functionality.

Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for sourcing appropriate packaging materials.

**5. Compliance**:
Ensure designs adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements.

**6. Technical Specifications**:
Prepare final layouts, technical drawings, and specifications for production.

**7. Testing & Validation**
- Participate in stability testing and transport simulation tests to ensure packaging can withstand real-world conditions.
- Ensure packaging designs pass quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) standards.

**Skills Required**:

- Creativity & Attention to Detail: Ability to think outside the box to develop unique designs while ensuring high quality.

- Packaging design software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, Adobe Illustrator)
- Understanding of materials science
- Problem-solving and innovation mindset
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Graphic Design Skills: Proficiency in design software for drafting and creating layouts.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of packaging materials, production processes, and technical aspects of design.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to communicate with clients and cross-functional teams, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
