**Roles and Responsibilities**

Shall be responsible to formulation, structuring and execution of construction procurement and execution contracts, as the works demand and as directed by the Construction Manager but not limited to:
**Technical Expertise**
- Prepare Construction Contracts for various work packages as gets defined for the project
- Review and scrutinise commercial proposals received from vendors / contractors to suit requirements of the project in close consultation with Infrastructure Design & Implementation Head and Construction Manager
- Undertake commercial negotiations with vendors / contractors to ensure the work packages are within the budget approved for the project
- Shall be well versed with legal documentation and have adequate knowledge of applicable laws and taxation requirements
- Scrutinise bills certified by Site team / Construction Manager for compliance to executed contracts and flag any deviation, complete documentation required to close any such deviation in contract conditions commercially or otherwise
- Ensure prompt release of payments to vendors and contractors
- Maintaining and monitoring project costs, budgets and expenditures

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Graduate in Commerce with CA (desirable) from reputed University

**Minimum Experience**:

- Overall 15 to 20 years of experience with minimum 10 years in Commercial & Contractual Managerial roles in Commercial / Hospitality / institutional / residential works.
- Minimum 5 years related experience on project sites in Commercial Contracting (Desirable) or Consulting (PMC) roles

**Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills**:

- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of construction procurement and contract documentation
- Knowledge of international procurement and customs clearance processes (desirable)
- Hands on knowledge and use of MS Office, ERP (SAP) and other related software
- Problem solving skills and creative thinking
- Attention to details
- Team working, relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of civil, fit out & MEP procurement requirements
- Strong interpersonal and Analytical skills
- Understanding of and passion for the unique mission, vision and impact of JI on society.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Should support to ensure compliance to project goals and timelines.
