**Missions and Responsibilities**
Mission Statement: He (She) is responsible for guiding and monitoring daily production activities at the primary plants. His (Her) responsibility includes to manage Plants’ Production team in order to achieve production efficiency targets while ensuring product quality as per customer requirements and in complete compliance with AL Group’s safety, reliability and efficiency guidelines. He (She) reports to Facility Manager & is member of Facility Steering Committee & PvD. As such, he (she) supports Facility Manager, for safe & reliable operations at plant, & to control operations costs by improving plant’s availability & efficiency. Key Figures: Manages 9 Shift-cum-maintenance engineers in facility for round the clock (daily 3 shifts) operations. Locally accountable for fulfilling AL undertaking related to energy procurement (65% of operation costs) for the facility. His/her main contribution and accountabilities will be: - Timely and effective implementation of AL Group Safety guidelines in his (her) plant’s production. - Timely compliance with local statutory regulations (as applicable) in his (her) plant’s operation. - Timely and effective implementation of IMS requirements in his (her) plant’s operation. - Set up & thorough implementation of standard procedures (SOPs, WIs etc.) for safe, reliable & efficient plant operations. - Leading daily production activities aligned with standard procedures, customer’s product quality requirements & plant’s efficiency targets (i.e. to monitor daily production inefficiency, vaporization, product & power losses & analyze consequential production efficiency impact). - Deployment of production schedules aligned with sales forecasts & his weekly production forecasts at PvD forum. - Reporting & investigation of all safety & reliability incidents of plant. Active participation at the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations & effective implementation of corrective RCA action plans. - Facilitate timely implementation of planned maintenance schedules within his (her) plant and plan ahead to provide a safe work area for execution of planned maintenance works. - Facilitate ScME development in Maintenance domain by planning their work hours efficiently. Follow-up pro-actively with Maintenance-in-charge Charge on ScME’s progression on Maintenance works with objective that as a result each ScME will be qualified to handle most of non-critical maintenance tasks without supervision. - Timely implementation of training & qualification programs for ScME. To develop their competencies with objective that as a result minimum of 5 ScME will be qualified to start-up & run complete plant without supervision (this corresponds to one such qualified ScME in each shift). - Adherence to Management of Change (MOC) process thoroughly for any required changes at plant operations. - Timely reporting of plants performance & Industrial reporting as per Company Procedures. - Managing purchase of energy for the facility as per the guidance of the Energy Manager. - Planning & ensuring timely purchase of required goods & services for Facilities’ Production requirements in coordination with company’s Procurement team. - To manage, plan & distribute shift attendance among production team while taking in consideration their leaves, compensatory offs & this with complete control on overtime hours to be spent.
