**Staff Nurse/RN**

Provides professional nursing services and patient care in variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Follows established nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Ensures adherence to hospital or department and university policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Provides direct, professional nursing care to a specified population of patients in an inpatient or an outpatient setting.
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Performs evaluation of new and existing patients to determine priority and suitability of treatment and/or need for modifications.
- Administers prescribed medications, applies sterile dressings, performs phlebotomy, and monitors vital signs.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
- May perform specialized nursing procedures related to the unique needs of a particular patient population.
- May oversee and guide the work of other nursing and support staff.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

**Minimum Job Requirements**:

- Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program; no previous experience required. Certification/Licensure State of New Mexico Licensed Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the multistate privilege to practice compact with New Mexico.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**:

- Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards.
- Knowledge of patient evaluation and triage procedures.
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
- Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care programs.
- Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records.
- Knowledge of clinical and/or surgical facilities, instruments, and equipment.
- Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids.
- Ability to draw intravenous and peripheral blood.
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
